Welcome to our website. My name is Patrick and my passion is motorcycles and motorcycle culture. My relationship with motorcycles started when I was 8 years old. Since then I’ve bought, sold, disassembled, repaired and reassembled more bikes then the number of years I’ve been on this earth. More importantly I love to ride and have too much mileage on my "riding butt" to count!
My current ride is a rare Suzuki DR. Big ( DR 750) (link to outside site for more info) My wife and partner in CTMC Retreat is Angela. She too loves to ride and currently rides an old Kawi 305 LTD - although her eyes are on a Honda 599!!!
It was our love of motorcycles, traveling and adventure that quickly bonded us and over the course of one year, tons of research, travelling back and forth from Toronto to Nova Scotia the idea for the Cabot Trail Motorcycle Retreat was born.
We both agreed that a motorcycle retreat was definitely something we wanted and that the Cabot Trail was the perfect location to achieve it. So before the lucid air of reality crept into our dream, Angela and I bought a house in Middle River, NS and devised a 2 year plan to open The Cabot Trail Motorcycle Retreat. Initially it was Angela’s love of the ocean and my love of riding that brought us to Cape Breton in May 2006. But it was the people, the tranquil scenery, and of course the endless safe and stunning touring possibilities that kept us here.
We hope that you will come by and let us indulge your every riding whim.
